NSF created two Theories of Change – one for external and one for internal purposes.
The external version presents the user journey from start to end, with activities at the top and the chain of outcomes, for various stakeholders, listed down the page. This is presented in a very engaging way to attract audiences.
The internal version is more text-heavy and goes into further detail about the links between activities and outcomes and between different outcomes. It incorporates different stakeholders and specific assumptions to enable staff to understand how beneficiaries progress through their support with NSF.
